This introductory course explores the diverse and dynamic world of physiotherapy, providing an overview of the different areas in which physiotherapists can specialize—such as orthopedics, respiratory care, and neurology—and examining the vital communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills needed to excel in the field. Students will gain insight into various career paths, from advanced clinical work to leadership and education roles, as well as learn about standard entry requirements and ways to prepare for a physiotherapy degree. By examining real-world scenarios and patient interactions, this course aims to help learners determine whether a career in physiotherapy aligns with their interests, values, and professional goals.
